The first years of Vladimir’s reign as king of Tapria went smoothly. Eight families chose to leave their homes and follow him to their new kingdom. The families were all young and childless. They had nothing to loose so they took the great risk of living in a young and unestablished country that many others were not willing to take.

However the gamble paid off and the lack of children in the kingdom did not last long. The lingering effect of the green liquid from the Vessel of Life that Vladimir had released into the water caused all the women in Tapria great fertility and to conceive within weeks of settling in the land.

With all the new babies on the way the men had to work quickly to build new houses and repair the remains of castles that have sat empty and decaying for nearly a century. The lords that once occupied them left long before the plague to be closer to the capital city as it became more fashionable to attend the royal court than to live in the countryside. When Aurelia’s father gave Vladimir the land for his own kingdom the decedents of its previous owners lost all rights to the land.

Vladimir divided up the land among the three families of noble birth that followed him to Tapria. The Talbots, Radcliffs, and Winstons would each be lords over their own estates and form Vladimir’s royal council.
The merchants and peasants would be allowed to live on the nobles land in exchange for paying taxes in form of crops and money as the kingdom became more prosperous. Not many merchants followed Vladimir to his new kingdom. Only two families saw profit in a newly forming kingdom. They were aware that at first they would not make much money as they did before, but if the kingdom were to thrive they would have been there from the beginning, earning the trust and patronage of the nobility. The Spencer and Stowe families felt up to this challenge.

The peasants of the new kingdom were robust farmers like the Sedgwick family, sturdy soldiers like the Holcomb family, and wondering gypsies looking for a place to settle down like the Heron clan.
Everyone found their place in the young kingdom and thrived while their children grew. Before the parents realized it their children were grown and ready to start the next generation of Tapria. That is when things became less peaceful in Tapria. The spell of harmony that lay over Tapria for many years like a warm blanket was finally ripped off in one swift move. The spell was broken with an innocent kiss.

I’m sorry that it took me so long to make an update to my RKC blog. I have had writers block for months when it came to my sim stories. Finally tonight I just sat down and started writing, not knowing what I was going to write about. Well it worked. I got this post done and I finally have some ideas for future ones. I’m trying to catch up to how far I have played in the game so I may not have totally relevant pictures to go with the story for a while.
I hope you enjoy! ~Carrie/EnblithTheFair

Hi. Sorry this comment is so late I haven’t checked this site til today. So I wonder why a kiss is going to cause so much trouble?. Yep writer’s block is a such a pain in the neck I’ve been suffering from it myself I used to be able to write like 4 or 5 stories a week now I’m lucky if I can write one a month! (I don’t mean sim stories I mean just normal ones or fanfiction)
Anyway I’m glad you got the writing bug back I hope you are inspired to write more.
Keep Simming!
See ya

Glad you are writing again. The story was great. I recently suffered from writers block so I know how hard it can be sometimes to come up with story ideas.

I know who the two people are! (The ones that are kissing!) So that’s why it would break the harmony…
I won’t tell anyone so it’s still a surprise…

First of all, I loved the prologue – the pretty fairy tale to begin this kingdom. The families are nicely done – and now this. Are you going to write more? I mean it’s been 2 years…
